Hand Catch and Spot Landing Contest
25 July, 2010

A hand catch landing contest  was successfully run in Clearwater Bay flying site on 25 July 2010. The wind condition of the day was basically clam, so it was well suitable for this kind of contest. The handcatch contest was even more fun! Again it was divided into qualifying and final sessions. Five rounds were conducted in each session. Top 5 pilots were selected from the qualifying contest into the final. Kenneth and Third Brother both scored full 15 marks in the qualifying session. They did the same in the final, so further rounds were run for the matched score pilots. But still after 8 further rounds, they both got full marks, then handcatch was performed by doing invert flight. Finally, Kenneth was able to score 2 marks from invert flight while Third Brother failed to do so. So, the title of the King of Hand Catch Pilot was awarded to Kenneth. Congratulation! The result of hand catch contest is shown in the table below:

It is a beautiful day for the spot landing contest

The landing spot is marked by a small circle far below the slope, not many planes can make it way there though
