Second Spot Landing Contest for the Year 2007
16 September 2007

The second spot landing contest for the year 2007 was held on 16 September, 2007. The venue was Fei Ngo Shan east-facing slope. Since the weather forecast for the day was light wind, many r/c pilots thought that the contest would be cancelled, therefore, only a few pilots came and joined the contest. Finally, a total of 11 pilots joined the contest. Because the flying site was not the same as that of the previous contest, we had to select a proper landing spot for the contest. After a few trail and test flights, a nice spot two meters below the plane resting area on the bush near the ridge edge was identified. The contest was officially started at 2pm. Eric was the first pilot to fly and he closed in near enough to score 3 marks. Lee Man followed with a full score of 5 marks. The scores for the following rounds varied tremendously. After five rounds of intensive and full-of-fun contest, Eric and Lee Man stood out with the same score, so these two men had to flght against each other to grab the title of champion. After three additional rounds of pair-wise contest, Eric finally won the contest with his outstanding landing skill. Lee Man gracefully got a first runner-up. The second runner-up went to little Black Boy. The contest drew to the end at about 4pm. Thanks for coming!

"My bum is the spot! OK, see how you can get to!"

"Right on the target! Ha Ha, five marks!"

"Let's measure; a score of 1 mark or 3 marks?"

Ah Joe was right on the target with a hard vertical dive!

"Wonderful! I got a full score of 5 marks!"

Lee Man got a zero mark with an incorrect landing approach!

Uncle Chan said "Don't just bull shit, you have a go!"

Nobody had confident on Ah Ken's landing skill - didn't want to see!

"Hei! no need to measure, it's is far outside!"

Ah Joe had some queries: ..."ok, all my fault!"

Same score for the two top fighters, so unavoidably, there will be a fight between them. OK, let started the bussiness of accurate spot landing for glider pilots
