The second slope combat contest for the year 2008 was successfully held in Clearwater Bay flying site on Sunday 2 November 2008. The wind was moderate to strong easterly, so it was certainly a good day for combat. A total of 15 pilots joined the contest. There were many spectators and visitors to watch the contest with lot of applauses. The competitors were split into two groups; each group has 8 or 7 pilots. Two stages of contest were conducted. There were two rounds in the first stage, the score from first round was used to decide the groupings in the second round. In the second round, the top half of a group from the first round will combat with the bottom half of the other group. Then the total score of a pilot from these two rounds were counted toward the entry list for the final stage. There were 10 pilots qualified for the final stage which also had two rounds.  The total scores from the two rounds in the final stage will be used to determine the winners.  

The contest was started at about 2:00pm after a lengthy wait for all pilots to arrive. The wind was consistently good through out the whole contest. By the time at 4:20pm, four rounds were completed. The Champion who took the title of the most merciful killer is Uncle Chan, who although looks like being a very kind old gentlemen, was indeed a serious killer for sometimes. His record of number of knock downs was 56 in round 4, which accounted to almost one knock-down for each 10-second period, amazing! Next on the line is the last year plane killer champion, Ken28, who indeed has a  firm goal of being an invincible killer. The third place went to Lee Man who seems to be loosing out his will to kill recently, may be he is getting more excited in F3F than in combat. Each winner has both a beautiful trophy and a prize sponsored by Windrider R.S.B. Aviation Co. Ltd. Thanks the boss of Windrider, Mr. Lou Tsz Ming, for his generosity. Finally, the booby prize went to Stanley Chan, who, despite of working hard to avoid being a mountain goat, is still an easy prey for the killers!
