Slope Combat Contest
11 November, 2001

On Sunday November 11, 2001, our club organized and held the first slope combat contest in Clearwater Bay. The Call for Participation and Combat Rules were published well in advance. There were 28 pilots participating in the competition with over 100 spectators. The competitors were split into three groups, and three rounds of combat were originally scheduled. Due to the unfavorable wind condition after the first combat in the second round, the competition was called off and the scores were calculated based on the result from the first round. The winners are Lo Sung Pun for the champion, Choi Yiu Keung for the first runner up and Master Leung for the second runner up. Congratulation! Apart from the beautiful trophies, the prizes for the champion, first runner up and second runner up are AMD Scorpio, JazzXtreme and AMD Zero, respectively. There was a forth prize of an Eraser EPP for the competitor who gracefully fell most in the combat and the prize went to Mok Leung Kong. The third and fourth place participants also have a prize of socket game donated by Lup Shun Manufacturing Company. Thank you all for your supports and particularly to our sponsors; Aero Model Design, Canterbury Sailplanes and Lup Shum Manufacturing Company. The event was reported by news media including TVB and Oriental News. Please see the news clip at TVB.
