Hong Kong Air Cadet - Aeromodelling Carnival 2011
December 18, 2011

The Aeromodelling Carnival 2011 was one of a series of events to celerbrate the 100th anneversary of powered flight. It was organized by the Hong Kong Air Cardet. The aim of the activity was to introduce aeromodelling to the public and students by exhibition of model aircrafts and demonstration of model flight. There was also a very interesting water rocket competition for the students. The Hong Kong Radio Control Soaring Society was also invited to demonstrate model gliders.

The venue of the event was at the Air Cadet model flying field in Tseung Kwan O. It is located on a shallow slope, with a small runnway at the plateau for model aircrafts. It was a one day event on the 18th of December. The Carnival included demonstrations of aero-models of different kinds. Among them HKRCSS demonstrated electric and hand launch gliders. We also brought two large scale gliders for the exhibition.

There were also students from a primary school to learn launching water rockets.
