Aviation Day and Exhibition

The Hong Kong Aviation Club organized an open day and exhibition on Saturday, 23 February, 2002. The exhibition is opened to air cadets and the general public who are interested in items related to aviation. R/C model aircraft flying demonstrations were featured in the exhibition. HKRCSS is honoured to be invited as exhibitor for displaying r/c gliders and introducing the r/c soaring activities to the visitors. Some beautiful gliders including Fox, Ellipse III Cam and a tow plane from Paul Wong, HKRCSS's function chair responsible for training, were on display in the aviation club's venue in old Kai Tak Airport. The open day has attracted many visitors from the public generally interest in aviation. A computer r/c flight simulator was set up by HKRCSS to let visitors to have a taste of r/c soaring which was proved to be very attractive to the kids. With complement of video shows and demos, this event is definitely a success. Thank you all for those involved in making this exhibition memorable.
