The Hong Kong Radio Control Soaring Society organised a squid fishing activity on the evening of Saturday, 27 June 2026. A total of 27 members, together with their family members and friends,
took part in the activity. Everyone boarded the boat at Sai Kung Pier at 6:30 p.m. and set off for an enjoyable squid fishing experience at sea.
After boarding, a generous dinner was already prepared on the boat. The meal included hot crab congee, soy-marinated chicken wings, fried noodles, soy-marinated eggs, dumplings, vegetables and
a variety of snacks. In addition, one of our members kindly prepared Baiyun-style chicken feet to share with everyone, making the dinner even more plentiful. The Society also provided drinks
and two large watermelons for all participants to enjoy. Everyone had dinner in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere before getting ready for the squid fishing session.
After dinner, the squid fishing officially began. The boat operator mentioned that the south-westerly wind that evening was favourable for squid fishing, and that there was a good chance of a fruitful
catch. Everyone took part enthusiastically, and after an enjoyable session, we caught close to 70 squid in total. It was a very rewarding result, and everyone was delighted with the catch.
The atmosphere on the boat remained lively throughout the evening. Apart from squid fishing, several members also showed off their singing talents and performed songs for everyone on board.
With laughter, singing and the sea breeze, everyone enjoyed a very pleasant and memorable evening.
Towards the end of the activity, the boat operator cooked the freshly caught squid for everyone to enjoy.
Participants were able to taste the results of their own catch while sharing the fun moments from the evening. It was a happy and memorable highlight of the activity.
The activity concluded successfully at 10:30 p.m., with everyone making their way back to Sai Kung Pier. Thank you to all members, family members and friends for their enthusiastic participation,
and special thanks to the boat operator and helpers for their thoughtful arrangements, which made the activity a smooth and enjoyable success.
