Hong Kong F3F League 2016 Match 3 - February 21, 2016

What a wonderful day! 15m/s Easterly blowing all day long. Temperature was low but the spirit of the players were high! Times were mostly sub-40, and Angus Lee made a new Hong Kong record of 29.04sec. It is also the first sub-30 made in the local slopes.

After the first two matches cancelled due to the bad weather, the third match marks the beginning of the 2016 competitions. The match was on the 21st of February at Ma On Shan. Total 20 pilots joined. Weather forecast had been very promising and we were all expecting the day to come. It did not let us down! 19 pilots flew into sub-40 and Angus made a 29.04s record in round 6. This is the first time sub-30 made in the local flying sites of Hong Kong. The competition started at 8:45am and ended at about 4:30pm. A few pilots cannot make it to the end because their models were damaged due to the strong wind, or the heavy loading, or the thin grass at the landing site (seems the cows at Ma On Shan have a very good appetite recently...), or whatever...,  but overall the competition was running smoothly at a fast pace. We have 14 rounds completed, could be another record!

The results are:
Champion: Angus Lee - His 1000 by 29.04s makes the second 783.81!
1st runner-up: Ho Kwok Wai - The PitBull is alive in his hands! His 31.26s in round 2 is also the second fastest.
2nd runner-up: Kenneth Chan - Rested for a year, fast as he used to be.
Fastest Time: Angus Lee (29.04s) - Hong Kong record, period.

Many pilots renewed their personal records, and some of them were also the first time entering the sub-40:

CM Lau40.29->38.97
Alex Yeung40.33->39.00
