F3F Slope Race in Fei Ngo
Shan 6 July,
2003 | |
A F3F slope was held in Fei Ngo Shan southwest-facing slope
on Sunday, 6 July 2003. This is the first time an F3F race was ever run in
the southwest-facing slope in Fei Ngo Shan. It was believed that this
slope with its jaggy edges is not suitable for F3F. Anyway, we showed that
it was possible but the cost is a high casualty rate! Apart from this, the
event was a success and we would like to thank the enthusiastic helpers
and r/c soarers for their supports. Here is a short report: The
weather was generally fine with moderate southwesterly wind of average
speed of 12km/hr. Totally 18 pilots took part in the race which was
started at 12:00pm and ended at 5:00pm. Five rounds of races were
completed. The best time is 55.56s by Master Leung who also won the race,
congratulation! Due to a high accident rate, some pilots can not
finish all rounds, what's a pity! HKRCSS would like to thank the sponsors
Windrider Aviation Ltd. and Aero Model Design (AMD) for their
support. Here are the detailed scores of the race: |

Hi, dear fellow Masters, are you aiming for the
prizes?

|
Chester, what made you so happy or not? Oh! Your
Eliminator SR was eliminated by a small kid. You know you should be nice
to the kids, right?

|
Mak, what've happened to your New Sting - a bad
landing!
|
This New Sting carries a payload?
|
Oh no, what happen? C.M. New Sting hit the pole
in Base A and just steel the "flag" from it!
|
Our winner today Master Leung really desires the
goal. Look at his professional style in mastering the run. Actually, he
has been practicing F3F secretly for a long time!
|
But Master Leung, we are sure you will be
challenged in the future years. You see our youngest competitor, Ben,
already performed better than his father! He means to be
professional
|
The winner Master Leung gets his prize from the
sponsor Lou Tsz Ming of Windridder
|
The first runner up Stanley receives his
prize
|
Mak is the second runner up, his score is only
one mark less of Stanley's
|
Master Fai got the forth place and also a
prize
|
Our future star, 9 years old Ben, receives
a prize for his courage and successful competing all rounds
|
Have a group photo to commemorate this wonderful
event. Cheers!
